Travel to Vancouver British Columbia

There are many ways to get to Vancouver. You can fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR), which is only a few kilometres south of the city and is easily accessible by taxi, bus, airport limousine, and (beginning in September 2009) by SkyTrain. You can also rent a car at Vancouver Airport.

Vancouver BC canadaOr you can drive to Vancouver and, if you’re coming from the south, you can cross the border at four different places: Blaine, the Blaine truck crossing, Lynden and Sumas. Another option is the train.

From Seattle you can take Amtrak, and from eastern Canada, you can take Via Rail or the Rocky Mountaineer. Or, if coming from Whistler, you can take the Whistler Mountaineer. The Greyhound bus will also get you to Vancouver from anywhere in Canada or the U.S., although it sometimes is almost as economical to fly so, if considering bus travel, you might want to check the costs of flights first. Visitors from Seattle can also get to Vancouver by ferry (via Victoria, and then by Pacific Coach bus), or by float plane or helicopter (from Seattle to Victoria and then from Victoria to Vancouver).
